Perełki "zwykłego" miasta / Pearls of the "ordinary" town

Wiosna zawitała do Lacjum na dobre. Grzechem byłoby spędzać taki weekend w czterech ścianach. Na mapie "miejsc ważnych" od jesieni widniało Castle Gandolfo. Miasto, które w świadomości Polaków zagościło z uwagi na postać papieża Jana Pawła II. Nie wiem, czy ktoś wcześniej w Polsce wiedział, że to niepozorne miasteczko leżące nad jeziorem Albano jest letnią rezydencją papieską, a sam pałac ma status eksterytorialny.
I tak oto powstał pomysł wycieczki nie tylko do Castle Gandolfo, ale ogólnie wokół jeziora Albano... i tradycyjnie musiał się też trafić bonus na trasie, którego nikt się nie spodziewał, ale o tym poniżej.

Spring has come to Lacium for good. It would be a sin to spend such weekend in the four walls of house. Castle Gandolfo was on the map of "important places" since autumn.  A city, that has emerged in the consciousness of the Poles, because of the character of Pope John Paul II. I don't know, if anyone in Poland earlier knew, that this inconspicuous town situated on side of Lake Albano, is the summer Popes' residence, and the palace itself has extraterritorial status.
And after all trip was not just to Castle Gandolfo, but generally around the Lake Albano and traditionally also need to be a bonus on the route, which nobody expected, but more on that below.

Każdy plac jest dobry do gry w piłkę. I nie ma się co dziwić się, że co i raz Włochy są mistrzami świata lub Europy. / Every square is good for football play. And we shouldn't be surprise that once again time to time Italy are World or European Champions.

Castel Gandolfo.

Jezioro to raj dla windsurferów. Wiatr łeb urywa. / Lake is a paradise for windsurfers. Wind breaks off heads. 

A to już Rocca di Papa. Resztki średniowiecznej twierdzy skąd rozpościera się widok na jezioro, Castel Gandolfo, a dalej Rzym. Widać też linię brzegową morza. / And this is Rocca di Papa. The remains of a medieval fortress and scenic view of the lake, Castel Gandolfo, and beyond Rome. You can also see the shoreline of the sea.

Tyle pozostało ze średniowiecznej chwały. Ale krzyż stoi. / So much is left of medieval glory. But the cross is standing. 

Willa z widokiem na Rzym. I nawet na sprzedaż. Kusi. Ciekawe, czy tańsza niż mieszkanie w warszawskim bloku od dewelopera? / Villa with views of Rome. And even for sale. Tempts. I wonder if it's cheaper than a flat in Warsaw building sell by a developer?

Niestety ktoś skuł historię tego budynku. Szkoda. / Unfortunately, someone remove history of this building. It is a pity.
